Trimesters

Above: Lins ready for school.

This picture encapsulates the transitions we’re going through in life right now (look closely and you just may see a pooch). Just last week, Lindsey and Baby Tico (our baby) transitioned from the first trimester to the second. Our first trimester coincided with our first few months here, and it was not easy. New foods and smells did not mix well with Lindsey’s pregnant stomach, but we’re hoping things get better in the second trimester.

Also in the picture is Lindsey’s book bag, the one she will be taking to our first day of school tomorrow. We’ve finished up our intensive courses and tutoring, and now we are starting a four month trimester. We will be in class 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, all in Spanish. We’ll be studying language, pronunciation, and grammar.

We’re excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this next trimester.

  1. Hi to all.
I don’t even remember how I came across your website last week, bu my grandchildren were here at the time and I did not have time then to look at it. Today, I had that sweet pleasure.
Our daughter, son-in-love and their four daughters (9,6,4, and 7 months) are planning to be in Costa Rica for language school in late August, and from there, they plan to go to Honduras. Such similarities.
Your pictures and narration are so wonderful for me. I will pass your website on to my daughter, Emily, so that she can see your home and your way of life.
If you have time to email me, I would really like that.
A little about me. I live in Orlando with my husband, Eddie. We will celebrate our 36th anniversary in a month. We have three daughters who are all married to Christian men and all are walking well with the Lord. We have five granddaughter and are expecting a grandson in July. All our children live away, so we travel a lot to see them.
Today, I pray for you, Lin, that you will have less and less nauses and more and more energy. I pray for your schooling that it is going well for all of you and that you are feeling good about your progress. I pray for your little one as she gets to learn the wonderful lessons of family without so many of the distractions of modern life in the states. What seems like and is extra work and less convenience for you is surely a blessing in many ways. I pray for you concerning lonliness from being separated from your family and friends.
I encourage you in your daily walk and today I pray the prayer of Paul in Col. 1 :9-14 for you as well as for me.
    Janie
